We have worked with DSS+, an operations management consulting company, on a range of projects, both for them and their clients.

On this occasion we were approached by DSS+ to support their client, Borealis, on raising awareness of the importance of safety within their business, as one of the leading providers of advanced and sustainable polyolefin solutions.

The Brief

Borealis was due to launch their new internal ‘B-Safe’ campaign and wanted to produce a series of engaging videos to communicate this company-wide. We were approached to plan, script write, film, and produce these videos, along with subtitling them across seven languages.

These videos needed to drive action, so it was important that they delivered messages from the employees to the employees, covering real topics that people could relate to.

The solution

The project started off with a series of workshops, that allowed us to have real conversations with employees of all levels across the business about their current opinions on safety at Borealis, and how they felt it could be improved. From this, we produced script outlines that shaped our final videos, along with questions that would guide, but not force, our interviews.

Filming took place across three locations in Sweden and Austria, and we interviewed 20 staff members across multiple levels of the business, from the factory floor to the CEO. We kept the cameras rolling as we asked our questions, allowing our interviewees to speak freely and naturally about all things safety.

Without scripted footage, editing took a little longer, with the post-production and copywriting teams working closely to craft the footage into two videos with strong storylines. But it was worth it, with the end result being two engaging and compelling videos featuring staff members talking passionately about safety within Borealis, which the client was extremely happy with!
